Sandra Gladh

I am trained to degree standard in Counselling and Psychotherapy with a MSc in Psychology. I am an accredited EMDR therapist, an EMDR consultant in training and a member of the EMDR Association UK. I am a member of the British Psychological Society and I am currently enrolled on a doctorate programme in counselling psychology. I am accredited by the National Counselling Society.

In my work I am able to provide clients with a safe and confidential space and offer a non-judgemental therapeutic experience. I am an integrative psychotherapist with training in humanistic and psychodynamic models. Research suggest that therapy is more successful when the therapy matches the client’s preferences. In our first session, we will discuss your hopes and aims from attending therapy and how this can be achieved in our work together.

I have several years’ experience of working with adults, adolescents and children. My area of expertise lies working with trauma, specifically childhood trauma (physical, sexual and emotional abuse), attachment difficulties, relationship difficulties, and anxiety and anger issues. I have provided support and training to parents and foster carers around attachment and parenting using PACE (playful, acceptance, curiosity, and empathy).

Given the diversity of my training I am able to offer treatment in a range of areas, which includes, but is not limited to the following areas:
